The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a voluntary program offered to Fairburn Housing Authority Public Housing participants. This program was established by HUD and is designed to assist families in becoming economically self-sufficient.
The FSS program requires each head of household to enter into a 5-year contract. The head of household as well as any adult members over the age of 18 in the household that wish to participate will work one-on-one with the FSS Coordinator to establish a list of obtainable life, financial, and career goals.
During your contract period, participants will attend specified workshops and training sessions that will help them with their goals of becoming self-sufficient.
